Writing on a Screen

Aligned to W.1.6 — Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.

What this lesson teaches

We can write with a keyboard or a tablet, not just a pencil. A grown-up can help us type and share it.

Worked example

We type "My dog is fun" on a tablet. Then we add a photo of the dog to share our writing.

Practice questions

  1. Type one short sentence with help.
  2. Find the space bar between words.
  3. Add a picture to go with your words.

Every lesson comes with a video taught in English and Spanish — the same video the QR code in the printed workbook opens.
