Find the Answer

Aligned to W.1.8 — Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.

What this lesson teaches

To answer a question, we can think about what we know or look in a book. Then we write the answer.

Example 1

Question: "What do birds build?" We remember or look, then write: "Birds build nests."

Example 2

Question: 'Where do bears sleep in winter?' Look it up, then write: 'Bears sleep in dens.'

Example 3

Write the answer in a whole sentence. 'Dens' alone does not tell anyone what the question was.

Ejemplo 1: Pregunta: "¿Qué construyen los pájaros?" Recordamos o buscamos, y escribimos: "Los pájaros construyen nidos."

Ejemplo 2: Pregunta: '¿Dónde duermen los osos en invierno?' Búscalo y escribe: 'Los osos duermen en madrigueras.'
