Finding trustworthy health information

What this lesson teaches
Not everything you hear or see about health is true, especially in ads and online videos that want to sell you something. Trustworthy health information comes from reliable places like a doctor, a school nurse, a parent, or an official health website. When you have a question, checking a reliable source helps you find the real answer.
Worked example
If an online video says a candy makes you super strong, that is probably an ad trying to sell candy. A better way to learn about strength is to ask a doctor or look at a trusted health site.
Practice questions
- Name a reliable place to get health facts.
- Why might an ad not tell the whole truth?
- What could you do to check a health claim?
