What this lesson teaches
Every number from 0 to 20 has a way to write it, and the number tells how many things there are.
Worked examples
Example 1
You have 3 apples. Write the number 3 to show how many. Three apples, number 3!
Example 2
Count 8 crackers on your napkin, then write the number 8. The written 8 says the same thing your counting said.
Example 3
If the plate is empty, the number is 0. Zero means none at all — and it still gets written down.
Practice questions
- Write the numbers 1, 2, 3 on paper.
- Count 5 buttons, then write the number 5.
- What number do you write for zero things?

Escribimos nuestros números
Cada número del 0 al 20 se puede escribir, y el número dice cuántas cosas hay.
Ejemplo 1: Tienes 3 manzanas. Escribe el número 3 para mostrar cuántas. ¡Tres manzanas, número 3!
Ejemplo 2: Cuenta 8 galletas en tu servilleta y luego escribe el número 8. El 8 escrito dice lo mismo que dijo tu conteo.
