What this lesson teaches

We do not always start at 1 - we can start at any number and keep counting up.

Example 1

Start at 6 and keep going: 7, 8, 9, 10. You do not have to say 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 first.

Example 2

You already counted 12 blocks. A friend brings more, so keep going from there: 13, 14, 15. You do not start over at 1.

Example 3

Start at 9 and count on: 10, 11, 12. The next number is always one more than the one you just said.

Ejemplo 1: Empieza en el 6 y sigue: 7, 8, 9, 10. No tienes que decir 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 primero.

Ejemplo 2: Ya contaste 12 bloques. Un amigo trae más, así que sigue desde ahí: 13, 14, 15. No empiezas otra vez en 1.
