Retell a Story

What this lesson teaches
When you retell a story, you tell what happened using the important parts.
Worked examples
Example 1
After hearing about a little duck who lost his hat and found it under a leaf, you can retell: first he looked, then he found it!
Example 2
A story about a lost mitten: first the girl dropped it, then a mouse slept in it, and at the end she found it in the snow.
Example 3
A retelling keeps the order. If you say the ending first, the person listening gets lost.
Practice questions
- Tell a story you love from the very beginning.
- What happened first, and what happened last?
- Who was in the story you just heard?

Vuelve a Contar
Cuando vuelves a contar un cuento, dices lo que pasó usando las partes importantes.
Ejemplo 1: Después de escuchar sobre un patito que perdió su gorro y lo encontró bajo una hoja, puedes contar: ¡primero buscó y luego lo encontró!
Ejemplo 2: Un cuento sobre un guante perdido: primero la niña lo tiró, luego un ratón durmió adentro, y al final ella lo encontró en la nieve.
Ejemplo 3: Al recontar, se guarda el orden. Si dices el final primero, quien escucha se pierde.
