How Much Longer?

What this lesson teaches
To find how much longer one object is than another, measure both and subtract the smaller length from the bigger one.
Worked example
A red ribbon is 12 cm and a blue ribbon is 8 cm. How much longer is red? 12 - 8 = 4 cm longer.
Practice questions
- A stick is 9 inches and a pencil is 6 inches. How much longer is the stick?
- A rope is 15 cm and a string is 7 cm. How much longer is the rope?
- One crayon is 8 cm, another is 5 cm. Find the difference.

Para saber cuánto más largo es un objeto que otro, mide ambos y resta el largo más pequeño del más grande.
