What this lesson teaches
Healthy relationships are built on respect, trust, and honesty, while unhealthy ones involve control, pressure, or disrespect. Setting boundaries means deciding what you are and are not okay with, and consent means everyone agrees freely. Speaking up clearly and resisting peer pressure protects you in friendships and online.
Worked example
If a friend keeps pressuring you to share something you are not comfortable with, a healthy response is to say no clearly and stand firm, even if they push back.
Practice questions
- Name two signs of a healthy relationship.
- What does it mean to set a boundary?
- Practice one way to firmly say no to pressure.
