Describing, Comparing, and Sorting

What this lesson teaches
You can describe things by how long, how heavy, or how big they are. You can also put two things side by side to see which is longer or heavier, and you can sort things into groups by how they are alike, then count how many are in each group.
Worked example
Hold a pencil next to a crayon. The pencil sticks out farther, so the pencil is longer. Now sort 3 red blocks and 2 blue blocks: the red group has more.
Practice questions
- Which is longer, a spoon or a fork?
- Sort your toys by color and count each group.
- Which group has more, 4 apples or 2 apples?

Describir, comparar y clasificar
Puedes describir los objetos según qué tan largos, pesados o grandes son. También puedes poner dos cosas lado a lado para ver cuál es más larga o más pesada, y puedes clasificar cosas en grupos según sus características en común, y luego contar cuántas hay en cada grupo.
Ejemplo: Pon un lápiz junto a un crayón. El lápiz sobresale más, entonces el lápiz es más largo. Ahora clasifica 3 bloques rojos y 2 bloques azules: el grupo rojo tiene más.
