Adding and Subtracting within 10

What this lesson teaches
Adding means putting groups together to find how many in all; subtracting means taking some away to see how many are left. We can use fingers or objects to show it.
Worked example
3 apples and 2 more apples: 3 + 2 = 5 apples. If you eat 1, then 5 − 1 = 4 apples are left.
Practice questions
- Show 2 + 3 using your fingers.
- You have 6 stickers and give away 2. How many left?
- Make 5 in two different ways (like 4+1 and 3+2).

Sumar y restar hasta el 10
Sumar significa juntar grupos para saber cuántos hay en total; restar significa quitar algunos para ver cuántos quedan. Podemos usar los dedos o materiales concretos para representarlo.
Ejemplo: 3 manzanas y 2 manzanas más: 3 + 2 = 5 manzanas. Si te comes 1, entonces 5 − 1 = 4 manzanas quedan.
