What this lesson teaches
A film adaptation must choose what to keep, cut, or change from the written script. Analyze where the production stays faithful and where it departs, and judge the effect of each choice.
Worked example
A book describes a storm in one line; the movie stretches it into three loud minutes. The film adds drama but loses the quiet dread the sentence created.

- List one detail a film keeps and one it cuts from a text.
- Explain the effect of a change the director made.
- Judge whether an added scene improves or weakens the story.
