What this lesson teaches
Two stories can tell similar events yet feel different because of how they are built. Compare structures such as flashback, frame story, or chronological order and analyze how each choice shapes meaning and style.
Worked example
One version opens at the funeral and flashes back; another marches straight from birth to death. The flashback builds mystery, while the straight order feels calm and inevitable.
Practice questions
- Name the structure of two short texts on a similar event.
- Explain how one structure creates suspense the other does not.
- Tell which structure fits the writer's purpose better and why.

Dos relatos pueden contar sucesos parecidos y aun así sentirse distintos por cómo están construidos. Compara estructuras como el flashback, el relato marco o el orden cronológico, y analiza cómo cada elección moldea el significado y el estilo.
Ejemplo: Una versión abre en el funeral y salta al pasado; otra avanza directo del nacimiento a la muerte. El flashback crea misterio, mientras que el orden directo se siente sereno e inevitable.
