What this lesson teaches
Research starts with a focused question, draws on several sources, and often sparks new questions. Keep your inquiry pointed so your findings stay clear and useful.
Worked example
Question: 'Why do bees matter to farms?' After two sources, a new question appears: 'What is causing bee numbers to drop?' Good research answers one question and opens the next.
Practice questions
- Write one focused research question you could answer with a few sources.
- List two different sources you'd use and one fact each might provide.
- After imagining your answer, write a new related question your research raised.
