What this lesson teaches
Authors make points and then back them with reasons and evidence. Match each piece of proof to the point it is meant to support.
Worked examples
Example 1
Point: 'Recess helps learning.' Reason: kids focus better after moving. Evidence: a study where students scored higher after outdoor breaks.
Example 2
Point: 'Cities should add bike lanes.' Reason: they reduce car trips. Evidence: a city that added 20 miles of lanes saw traffic drop 8%.
Example 3
A reason without evidence is still just an opinion. Ask where the number came from before you repeat it.

Razones y Evidencia de un Punto
Los autores plantean puntos y luego los respaldan con razones y evidencia. Une cada prueba con el punto que busca apoyar.
Ejemplo 1: Punto: 'El recreo ayuda a aprender.' Razón: los niños se concentran mejor después de moverse. Evidencia: un estudio donde los alumnos sacaron mejores notas tras salir al aire libre.
Ejemplo 2: Punto: 'Las ciudades deberían agregar ciclovías.' Razón: reducen los viajes en coche. Evidencia: una ciudad que agregó 20 millas de ciclovías vio bajar el tráfico un 8%.
Ejemplo 3: Una razón sin evidencia sigue siendo solo una opinión. Pregunta de dónde salió el número antes de repetirlo.
