Combining Texts on One Topic

What this lesson teaches
When several texts cover the same topic, blend their facts so you can speak or write about it like an expert. Keep what agrees and note what differs.
Worked examples
Example 1
One text lists a volcano's height, another its last eruption, a third its wildlife. Together they let you write a full report no single text could.
Example 2
One text gives a hurricane's wind speeds, another the evacuation order, a third an interview with a family. Together they make a report none of them is.
Example 3
When sources overlap, note what all of them say. A fact three independent sources agree on is the one you can build on.
Practice questions
- Pull one fact each from two texts on a topic.
- Combine those facts into a single clear sentence.
- Note where two texts on the topic disagree.

Combinar Textos sobre un Tema
Cuando varios textos tratan el mismo tema, mezcla sus datos para hablar o escribir como un experto. Conserva lo que coincide y anota lo que difiere.
Ejemplo 1: Un texto da la altura de un volcán, otro su última erupción y un tercero su fauna. Juntos te permiten escribir un informe completo que ningún texto solo lograría.
Ejemplo 2: Un texto da las velocidades del viento de un huracán, otro la orden de evacuación, un tercero una entrevista a una familia. Juntos hacen un informe que ninguno es.
Ejemplo 3: Cuando las fuentes se traslapan, anota lo que todas dicen. Un dato en el que coinciden tres fuentes independientes es en el que puedes construir.
