Know Your Facts by Heart

What this lesson teaches

Multiplication and division are opposites. If you know one fact, you know its family. Practice helps you remember them fast.

Worked example

You know 6 × 8 = 48. That means 48 ÷ 8 = 6 and 48 ÷ 6 = 8 too. One fact family gives you four facts.

Practice questions

  1. Solve 9 × 4.
  2. Solve 63 ÷ 7.
  3. Write all four facts in the family for 5 and 8.
