What this lesson teaches

A complete sentence tells a whole idea. Use full sentences to answer clearly and add details.

Example 1

Instead of just saying 'red,' you say, 'My favorite color is red because it is bright and warm.'

Example 2

Instead of 'because it's cool,' say 'I want to be a firefighter because they help people in an emergency.'

Example 3

A full sentence answer gives the listener the question back. They do not have to remember what you were asked.

Ejemplo 1: En vez de decir solo 'rojo', dices: 'Mi color favorito es el rojo porque es brillante y cálido.'

Ejemplo 2: En vez de 'porque está padre', di 'Quiero ser bombero porque ayudan a la gente en una emergencia.'

Ejemplo 3: Una respuesta en oración completa le devuelve la pregunta a quien escucha. No tiene que acordarse de qué te preguntaron.
