What this lesson teaches
A good discussion has several back-and-forth turns, and you can ask someone to explain if you are confused. When you recount something that happened, tell it in order with details.
Worked example
Recount a trip: 'First we drove to the lake. Then we swam. The water was cold. Last, we ate sandwiches.' The details and order make it clear.
Practice questions
- Recount something that happened this week, in order.
- Ask a question to understand a classmate better.
- Add one detail to make your story clearer.
