What this lesson teaches
A good discussion has several back-and-forth turns, and you can ask someone to explain if you are confused. When you recount something that happened, tell it in order with details.
Worked examples
Example 1
Recount a trip: 'First we drove to the lake. Then we swam. The water was cold. Last, we ate sandwiches.' The details and order make it clear.
Example 2
Recount a soccer game: 'We were losing 2-0 at half. Then Ana scored twice. In the last minute we scored again and won.'
Example 3
Skip what does not matter. Nobody needs to know what you ate before the game unless it changed the story.
Practice questions
- Recount something that happened this week, in order.
- Ask a question to understand a classmate better.
- Add one detail to make your story clearer.

Participación en Discusiones y Relato de Experiencias
Una buena discusión tiene varios turnos de diálogo, y puedes pedir que te expliquen algo si no lo entiendes. Cuando relatas algo que sucedió, cuéntalo en orden y con detalles.
Ejemplo 1: Relato de una excursión: 'Primero manejamos al lago. Luego nadamos. El agua estaba fría. Al final, comimos tortas.' Los detalles y el orden lo hacen más claro.
Ejemplo 2: Relata un partido de fútbol: 'Íbamos perdiendo 2-0 al medio tiempo. Luego Ana anotó dos veces. En el último minuto anotamos otra vez y ganamos.'
Ejemplo 3: Salta lo que no importa. Nadie necesita saber qué comiste antes del partido, a menos que haya cambiado la historia.
