What this lesson teaches

We can describe people, places, and things with fun details. Details help others picture what we mean.

Example 1

Instead of "I have a ball," we say, "I have a big red bouncy ball." The details help you see it!

Example 2

Instead of 'We went outside,' say 'We went outside and built a snow fort by the fence.'

Example 3

Three details is usually enough. Thirty details and the listener stops following.
