Ask to Understand

What this lesson teaches

If we do not understand a speaker, we can ask a question. Asking helps us learn more.

Example 1

A friend says, "I saw a big bug." We ask, "What color was the bug?" Now we understand better.

Example 2

A friend says, 'My game broke.' We ask, 'What happened to it?' Now we understand the story.

Example 3

A question about what you did not understand is better than nodding. Nobody minds being asked.
