What this lesson teaches
We can name the shapes we see and tell where they are, like above, below, or next to something.
Worked examples
Example 1
A clock on the wall is a circle, and it is above the door. Round shape, up high!
Example 2
The window is a rectangle, and the chair is below it. Naming the shape and telling where it is are two different jobs.
Example 3
Your cereal bowl is a circle when you look straight down into it, and it sits next to your cup.
Practice questions
- Find a circle in your room - what is next to it?
- Point to something that is a square.
- Name a shape that is below the table.

Ejemplo 1: Un reloj en la pared es un círculo, y está arriba de la puerta. ¡Figura redonda, bien arriba!
