Building and Drawing Shapes

What this lesson teaches
We can make shapes ourselves using sticks or blocks, and we can draw them on paper too.
Worked examples
Example 1
Use 3 sticks to build a triangle - each stick is one side. Now try drawing a triangle!
Example 2
Use 4 sticks the same length to build a square. If two sticks are longer than the others, you built a rectangle instead.
Example 3
Roll clay into a long snake and bend it around until the ends meet. That curved shape with no corners is a circle.
Practice questions
- Draw a circle on paper.
- Build a square using 4 sticks or blocks.
- Draw your favorite shape and name it.

Construir y dibujar figuras
