Adding Visuals to a Presentation

What this lesson teaches
Pictures, slides, sounds, or props can make your main ideas clearer and more memorable. Choose visuals that match and support what you are saying.
Worked examples
Example 1
Explaining the water cycle, you show a simple diagram with arrows for evaporation and rain, so listeners see the loop while you describe it.
Example 2
A photo of the actual dry riverbed does more for a report on drought than any chart of rainfall numbers.
Example 3
Say what the visual shows while it is up. An audience looking at a chart with no explanation is doing math instead of listening.

Agregar Elementos Visuales a una Presentación
Las imágenes, diapositivas, sonidos u objetos pueden hacer tus ideas principales más claras y memorables. Elige elementos visuales que coincidan y apoyen lo que dices.
Ejemplo 1: Al explicar el ciclo del agua, muestras un diagrama sencillo con flechas para la evaporación y la lluvia, para que quienes escuchan vean el ciclo mientras lo describes.
Ejemplo 2: Una foto del lecho del río realmente seco hace más por un reporte sobre la sequía que cualquier gráfica de lluvia.
Ejemplo 3: Di qué muestra el apoyo visual mientras está en pantalla. Un público mirando una gráfica sin explicación está haciendo cuentas en vez de escuchar.
