Doing a Mini Research Project

What this lesson teaches
In research, you pick a question, look in books or safe websites, and gather facts to build what you know about a topic.
Worked examples
Example 1
To learn 'What do owls eat?' you read two bird books, find that owls eat mice and bugs, and put those facts together.
Example 2
To answer 'Why do leaves change color?' you read two sources, find that green fades as trees stop making chlorophyll, and write it in your own words.
Example 3
Two sources are better than one. If both say the same thing, you can be fairly confident; if they disagree, you have found something worth checking.
Practice questions
- Write a question you want to research.
- Find two facts that help answer your question.
- Tell where you found each fact.

Hacer un Mini Proyecto de Investigación
En una investigación, escoges una pregunta, buscas en libros o sitios web seguros y reúnes datos para aprender más sobre un tema.
Ejemplo 1: Para saber '¿Qué comen los búhos?' lees dos libros de aves, descubres que comen ratones e insectos y juntas esos datos.
Ejemplo 2: Para responder '¿Por qué cambian de color las hojas?' lees dos fuentes, descubres que el verde se desvanece cuando los árboles dejan de producir clorofila y lo escribes con tus palabras.
Ejemplo 3: Dos fuentes son mejor que una. Si las dos dicen lo mismo, puedes confiar bastante; si no coinciden, encontraste algo que vale la pena verificar.
