Characters and Their Actions

What this lesson teaches
Characters have feelings and traits. What a character does can change what happens next in the story.
Worked examples
Example 1
A shy fox who finally shares his berries makes the other animals trust him, so they invite him to play.
Example 2
A bossy girl who finally listens to her teammate wins the game, and the team starts asking for her ideas.
Example 3
A character can change or stay the same. Noticing which one happened is usually the key to the whole story.
Practice questions
- Describe one character using two words about how they act.
- Tell how a character's choice caused the next event.
- Explain how the story would change if the character acted differently.

Los Personajes y Sus Acciones
Los personajes tienen sentimientos y cualidades. Lo que hace un personaje puede cambiar lo que pasa después en el cuento.
Ejemplo 1: Un zorro tímido que por fin comparte sus moras hace que los demás animales confíen en él, así que lo invitan a jugar.
Ejemplo 2: Una niña mandona que por fin escucha a su compañera gana el partido, y el equipo empieza a pedirle sus ideas.
Ejemplo 3: Un personaje puede cambiar o seguir igual. Notar cuál de las dos pasó suele ser la clave de todo el cuento.
