Two Books, One Topic

What this lesson teaches
Two books can be about the same thing but say different facts. Compare what each one tells you.
Worked examples
Example 1
One book about rain says clouds hold water. Another says rain helps plants grow. Both are about rain, but they teach different facts.
Example 2
One book about trees explains how roots drink water. Another explains why leaves change color. Same topic, different questions answered.
Example 3
If one book says an owl eats fish and another says it eats mice, they may both be right — there are many kinds of owls.
Practice questions
- Read two texts on the same topic.
- Name one fact that both texts share.
- Name one important fact that only one text tells you.

Dos libros, un tema
Dos libros pueden tratar del mismo tema pero decir datos diferentes. Compara lo que cada uno te dice.
Ejemplo 1: Un libro sobre la lluvia dice que las nubes guardan agua. Otro dice que la lluvia ayuda a crecer a las plantas. Los dos son sobre la lluvia, pero enseñan datos diferentes.
Ejemplo 2: Un libro sobre árboles explica cómo las raíces toman agua. Otro explica por qué las hojas cambian de color. El mismo tema, preguntas distintas.
Ejemplo 3: Si un libro dice que un búho come peces y otro dice que come ratones, los dos pueden tener razón — hay muchos tipos de búhos.
