What this lesson teaches

When you read to learn, ask who, what, where, when, why, and how. The answers help you find the key facts.

Worked example

A page about bees says they make honey in a hive. What do bees make? Honey. Where? In a hive.

Practice questions

  1. Read a fact page and answer a 'what' question about it.
  2. Ask a 'why' or 'how' question about the facts, then answer it.
  3. Find three key facts that answer different question words.
