What this lesson teaches
Authors make points and then give reasons to show why. Look for the reasons that support each idea.
Worked example
The author says dogs make good pets. The reason: dogs are loyal and love to play with you.
Practice questions
- Find a point the author is trying to make.
- Find one reason the author gives for that point.
- Explain how the reason helps prove the point.
