What this lesson teaches
A complete sentence starts with a capital letter and ends with a period, question mark, or exclamation point. Sorting words into groups, like animals or foods, helps you learn what they mean.
Worked examples
Example 1
Fix this: 'the dog runs' should be 'The dog runs.' with a capital T and a period. Words like apple, banana, grape all go in the group 'fruits.'
Example 2
Fix this: 'we went home' should be 'We went home.' with a capital W and a period.
Example 3
Names always get a capital letter, anywhere in the sentence: 'My friend Ana came over.'

- Write a sentence with a capital letter and a period.
- Sort these into groups: cat, apple, dog, banana.

Una oración completa comienza con letra mayúscula y termina con punto, signo de interrogación o signo de exclamación. Clasificar palabras en grupos, como animales o alimentos, te ayuda a aprender su significado.
