What this lesson teaches

We learn new words when we talk, read, and listen. We can use joining words like "and" or "because" too.

Worked example

"I like cake and I like pie because they are sweet." The words "and" and "because" join our ideas.

Practice questions

  1. Use a new word you learned today.
  2. Join two ideas with the word "and."
  3. Tell why you like something using "because."
