What this lesson teaches
A fact book gives us information in two ways. The pictures show us things, and the words tell us things.
Worked example
A picture shows a big whale in the sea. The words tell us the whale is the biggest animal. Each one helps us learn.
Practice questions
- Look at a picture. What does it show you?
- Read the words. What do they tell you?
- Tell one thing you learned only from the picture.

¿Dibujo o Palabras?
Un libro de datos nos da información de dos maneras. Los dibujos nos muestran cosas y las palabras nos dicen cosas.
Ejemplo: Un dibujo muestra una ballena grande en el mar. Las palabras nos dicen que la ballena es el animal más grande. Cada uno nos ayuda a aprender.
