What this lesson teaches

Fact books have special parts that help us find things. Headings and a list of pages show us where to look.

Worked example

A book about pets has a heading that says "Dogs." We go to that page to read about dogs.

Practice questions

  1. Find a heading in a fact book.
  2. Tell what that page will be about.
  3. Use the page list to find where a topic starts.
