What this lesson teaches
Before you can speak a new language, you learn to understand it by listening. When you hear songs, simple words, and little commands like jump or sit, you can catch what they mean, especially when pictures or actions help you. Understanding comes first, just like when you were a baby.
Worked example
If a song says 'salta, salta!' while someone jumps, you can tell that 'salta' means jump. Soon you hear 'salta' and you know to hop, even without the picture.

Antes de poder hablar un nuevo idioma, aprendes a entenderlo escuchando. Cuando escuchas canciones, palabras sencillas y pequeñas instrucciones como saltar o sentarse, puedes captar su significado, especialmente cuando las imágenes o los movimientos te ayudan.
