Aligned to NCAS:Cr — National Core Arts Standards.
What this lesson teaches
You do not just listen to music, you can make it up too! You can invent a short rhythm, hum a melody you have never heard before, or pick sounds that match a story or a feeling. There are no wrong notes when you are inventing.
Worked example
Make up a silly song about brushing your teeth. Add a soft swishy sound for the bubbles and a high ding when you are done.
Practice questions
- Make up a short song about your day.
- What sound would a sleepy bear make? Make it with your voice.
- Add sound effects while someone reads you a story.
