What this lesson teaches
Now that you know lines, shapes, and colors, you can arrange them on purpose. Balance means spreading things out so the picture does not feel tippy, a pattern repeats something over and over, and emphasis is the one spot you want eyes to notice first. Planning before you draw helps your picture feel organized.
Worked example
Look at a movie poster. The title is big and bright in the middle, that is emphasis, and the side images are balanced so neither side feels too heavy.
Practice questions
- Make a pattern by repeating a shape across the page.
- Draw a picture with one clear part you want eyes to see first.
- Look at a poster: where does your eye go first, and why?

Ahora que conoces las líneas, las figuras y los colores, puedes acomodarlos con intención. El equilibrio significa distribuir los elementos para que el dibujo no se sienta desnivelado; un patrón repite algo una y otra vez; y el énfasis es el punto que quieres que los ojos noten primero. Planear antes de dibujar ayuda a que tu imagen se vea organizada.
Ejemplo: Observa el cartel de una película. El título es grande y brillante en el centro, eso es el énfasis, y las imágenes de los lados están equilibradas para que ninguno se sienta más pesado.
