What this lesson teaches
We can do little things every day to keep the land, water, and air clean.
Worked examples
Example 1
We put our trash in the bin instead of on the ground so the park stays clean.
Example 2
We turn off the water while brushing our teeth so we do not waste it.
Example 3
We reuse a shopping bag instead of taking a new one each time. Using less means throwing less away.
Practice questions
- Pick up one piece of trash and put it where it belongs.
- Turn off the water while you brush so you do not waste it.
- Name one way you can help keep your yard or park clean.

Cuidamos la Tierra
Podemos hacer cositas cada día para mantener la tierra, el agua y el aire limpios.
Ejemplo 1: Ponemos la basura en el bote y no en el suelo para que el parque quede limpio.
Ejemplo 2: Cerramos el agua mientras nos lavamos los dientes para no desperdiciarla.
Ejemplo 3: Reusamos una bolsa del mandado en vez de tomar una nueva cada vez. Usar menos significa tirar menos.
