What this lesson teaches
You can read simple books by looking at each word and understanding the story.
Worked examples
Example 1
In a little book you might read: 'I see a cat. I see a dog.'
Example 2
In a little book you might read: 'The sun is up. I can run.'
Example 3
If a word stops you, look at the picture and try the first sound. Then keep going — you do not have to be perfect.
Practice questions
- Read a simple book slowly.
- Point to each word as you read.
- Tell what your little book was about.

¡Puedo Leer!
Puedes leer libros sencillos mirando cada palabra y entendiendo la historia.
Ejemplo 1: En un librito puedes leer: 'Veo un gato. Veo un perro.'
Ejemplo 2: En un librito puedes leer: 'El sol salió. Puedo correr.'
Ejemplo 3: Si una palabra te detiene, mira el dibujo y prueba el primer sonido. Luego sigue — no tienes que hacerlo perfecto.
