Comparing Genres on One Theme

What this lesson teaches
Different forms — a poem, a story, a myth — can explore the same theme in very different ways. Compare how each form's tools (line breaks, dialogue, plot) shape the same big idea.
Worked example
A poem about courage might use a single striking image; a short story shows courage through a character's choices over several scenes. Same theme, two approaches: the poem compresses it, the story builds it step by step.
Practice questions
- Find two texts of different types that share a theme (e.g., courage, friendship).
- Explain how each form presents that theme differently.
- State which version made the theme clearer to you, and why.

Distintas formas — un poema, un cuento, un mito — pueden explorar el mismo tema de maneras muy diferentes. Compara como las herramientas de cada forma (los versos, el dialogo, la trama) moldean una misma idea.
Ejemplo: Un poema sobre la valentia puede usar una sola imagen impactante; un cuento muestra la valentia con las decisiones de un personaje a lo largo de varias escenas. Mismo tema, dos enfoques: el poema lo condensa, el cuento lo construye paso a paso.
