Giving a Clear Report

What this lesson teaches
When you report on a topic, tell a story, or share an experience out loud, organize it so listeners can follow. Include the important facts and details, speak in a sensible order, and use a clear voice at a steady pace.
Worked example
Telling about a soccer game, a clear speaker starts with when and where it was, then the key plays in order, and ends with the final score — instead of jumping around out of order.
Practice questions
- Plan a one-minute talk about your favorite hobby with a beginning, middle, and end.
- Name two details that would make a spoken report more interesting.
- Explain why speaking in a clear order helps your listeners understand you.
