What this lesson teaches
An active citizen helps make their community a better place. People take part in civic life by volunteering, voting, helping neighbors, and taking care of shared places.
Worked example
Kids who pick up litter at the park or help plant a community garden are being active citizens who care for others.

Un ciudadano activo ayuda a que su comunidad sea un mejor lugar. Las personas participan en la vida cívica como voluntarios, votando, ayudando a los vecinos y cuidando los lugares compartidos.
