Comparing Two Texts

What this lesson teaches
When two texts are about the same topic, you can see where they agree and where they share different facts.
Worked examples
Example 1
Two texts about the moon both say it circles Earth, but only one adds that it has no air to breathe.
Example 2
Two texts about spiders agree they have eight legs, but one focuses on webs and the other on how they hunt without webs.
Example 3
When two texts disagree, check when each was written. Older science books sometimes say things newer ones corrected.

- Name one fact that is only in one text.
- Tell which text taught you more and why.

Comparar Dos Textos
Cuando dos textos tratan el mismo tema, puedes ver en qué coinciden y en qué dan datos diferentes.
Ejemplo 1: Dos textos sobre la luna dicen que gira alrededor de la Tierra, pero solo uno agrega que no tiene aire para respirar.
Ejemplo 2: Dos textos sobre arañas coinciden en que tienen ocho patas, pero uno se enfoca en las telarañas y el otro en cómo cazan sin ellas.
Ejemplo 3: Cuando dos textos no coinciden, revisa cuándo se escribió cada uno. Los libros de ciencia viejos a veces dicen cosas que los nuevos corrigieron.
