Hundreds, Tens, and Ones

What this lesson teaches
In a three-digit number, each digit tells a place. The first digit counts hundreds, the middle counts tens, and the last counts ones.
Worked example
In 342: the 3 means 3 hundreds (300), the 4 means 4 tens (40), and the 2 means 2 ones (2).
