What this lesson teaches

Skip-counting means jumping by the same amount each time. You can jump by 5s, 10s, or 100s to count faster.

Worked example

Skip-count by 10s starting at 10: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50. Each number is 10 more than the one before.

Practice questions

  1. Skip-count by 5s: 5, 10, 15, __, __.
  2. Skip-count by 100s: 100, 200, __, __.
  3. Count on by 1s from 297 to 303.
