Dance: movement elements (body, space, time, energy)
Aligned to NCAS:Pr — National Core Arts Standards.
What this lesson teaches
Your body can move in so many ways: high or low, fast or slow, strong or gentle. You can travel across the room by skipping, hopping, or galloping. Noticing how you move helps you control your body and dance with purpose.
Worked example
Play move like a... game: move slow like a turtle, then sharp and stiff like a robot, then float gently like a feather.
Practice questions
- Move down low, then up high.
- Skip, hop, and gallop across the room.
- Dance strong like a lion, then soft like a butterfly.
