Dance: making up movement & dances
Aligned to NCAS:Cr — National Core Arts Standards.
What this lesson teaches
You can invent your own dance! Pick an idea or feeling, like a thunderstorm or being happy, and make movements to show it. Then put a few moves in order, with a beginning, a middle, and an end, so it becomes a real little dance.
Worked example
Make a storm dance: start with gentle wiggly raindrops, build into big stomping thunder, then slow down as the sun comes out.
Practice questions
- Make up a dance about a happy day.
- Put three of your own moves in order: first, next, last.
- Invent a dance for a storm or a sunny morning.

Danza: inventar movimientos y bailes
¡Puedes inventar tu propio baile!
