What this lesson teaches
At this level you create original compositions or productions with a personal style and manage the project from concept to a finished recording or score. You refine the work through critique from other musicians. Original creative work like this demonstrates the independent artistry colleges and the industry value.
Worked example
You write a song, record each part, mix the levels so the vocal sits on top, then share a draft and revise the arrangement based on the feedback you get.
Practice questions
- Take an original piece from idea to a finished recording.
- Describe the story or intent behind one of your tracks.
- Seek critique from another musician and revise accordingly.
