What this lesson teaches
Advanced choreographers create sustained, original works guided by a clear artistic vision, structuring complex pieces and refining them through rehearsal and critique. Developing original work at this level demonstrates independent artistry for college programs and companies and builds high-level creative leadership.
Worked example
You choreograph a five-minute piece for three dancers around the theme of resilience, build it in sections, then revise the weakest transition after watching a rehearsal video.
