What this lesson teaches
Writing for theatre means building characters and scenes with conflict. Every strong character wants something and faces something in the way, and that tension drives the scene. You can use improvisation to discover dialogue, then shape the best parts into a script.
Worked example
Write a scene where one character wants to confess a secret and the other keeps interrupting with small talk. The clash between the two wants creates the drama.
Practice questions
- Write a short scene where two characters want different things.
- Give a character a clear want and a clear fear.
- Improvise a scene, then write down the best lines.

Teatro: escritura de guiones y desarrollo de personajes
Escribir para teatro significa construir personajes y escenas con conflicto. Todo personaje sólido desea algo y se enfrenta a un obstáculo, y esa tensión es la que impulsa la escena. Puedes usar la improvisación para descubrir diálogos y luego darle forma a las mejores partes en un guion.
