What this lesson teaches
A conversation is more than single words; it is a back-and-forth where you ask questions and answer them. In a new language you can talk about familiar things like your family, pets, or favorite foods. Mixing words you memorized with a few of your own keeps the chat going.
Worked example
You could ask in Spanish, 'Te gusta la pizza?' (Do you like pizza?) and a friend answers, 'Si, me gusta mucho!' (Yes, I like it a lot!) Then you ask what else they like.
Practice questions
- Ask a simple question about food in another language.
- How is a conversation different from saying one word?
- What familiar topic would be easy to talk about first?

Conversaciones interpersonales cotidianas
Una conversación es más que palabras sueltas; es un intercambio donde haces preguntas y las respondes. En un idioma nuevo puedes hablar sobre cosas conocidas como tu familia, tus mascotas o tus comidas favoritas. Combinar palabras que memorizaste con algunas propias mantiene la plática en marcha.
Ejemplo: Podrías preguntar en español, '¿Te gusta la pizza?' y un amigo responde, '¡Sí, me gusta mucho!' Luego le preguntas qué más le gusta.
