What this lesson teaches
Playing or singing in a group is called an ensemble. You learn to match pitch with others, blend your sound so no one sticks out, and watch a leader so everyone starts and stops together. Preparing a piece over time and then performing it feels great.
Worked example
In a recorder group, everyone plays Hot Cross Buns together. You watch the teacher's hand to start exactly on the same beat and stop together at the end.
